There is an excellent choral ensemble for every student at Hudson MS regardless of their experience or grade level. Directors will place students in the appropriate ensemble based on individual student strengths.
All Hudson Choir members in every ensemble bring enthusiasm, discipline, and a strong sense of teamwork to every rehearsal and performance.
6th Grade
Beginners
The Sixth Grade Tenors are a choir of 6th Grade Boys who get the chance to navigate their voice change, learn foundational music literacy, and grow together with through singing and fun!
These students perform at multiple concerts, the Epic Waters Music Festival and at GISD 6th Grade Evaluation.
The Sixth Grade Treble Choir is a choir composed of 6th Grade Girls who share their voice with each other, learn foundational music literacy, and get the chance to spend an hour with other young girls who love singing and growing together every day.

7th/8th Grade Intermediate
7th & 8th grade boys perform in 2 different ensembles based on their needs and strengths. Concert Tenor-Bass Choir is a non-auditioned choir for Tenor-Bass voices that focuses on the changing voice, music foundations, and growing excellent musicians from any level.
The Concert Men perform at multiple concerts, a spring Music Festival, and the Pre-UIL Concert & SR Evaluation at the Non-Varsity level.
7th & 8th grade girls perform in 2 different ensembles based on their needs and strengths. Bel Canto is a non-auditioned intermediate level choir that is composed of ladies who are passionate about music making, learning, and coming together to lift one another up.
These students perform at multiple concerts, a spring Music Festival, and the UIL Concert & SR Evaluation at the Non-Varsity level.
7th/8th Grade
Advanced
7th & 8th grade boys perform in 2 different ensembles based on their needs and strengths. Chamber is an auditioned choir for Tenor-Bass voices that specializes in high level music reading and leadership in young men.
The Chamber Men perform at multiple concerts, a spring Music Festival, and the UIL Concert & SR Evaluation at the Varsity level.
7th & 8th grade girls perform in 2 different ensembles based on their needs and strengths. A Cappella is an auditioned choir for Treble voices that focuses on advanced music reading, the individual voice, and student leadership.
These students perform at multiple concerts, holiday tour, the Music Festival and the UIL Concert & SR Evaluation at the Varsity level.
